I’m Right Here

This morning, as I sat in traffic (like I do most mornings), I asked God for fresh Manna for His daughters.  I literally asked, “Father, what do You have for Your daughters today?  What am I supposed to tell them?”  And for those who know me, you know that not too much later, I sat still with a pen in my hand and simply waited for God to speak.  And God said, “Tell them, I’m right here.”

He continued speaking to each one of us:

Beloved, I see you, and I know every detail about your current circumstance.  Do not fret.  Don’t be discouraged.  I am right here with you.  I have always been here, and I will always be with you.  Cast your cares upon Me today, and let Me carry what you were never designed to carry.  I need your hands to be free, so that you can receive from Me.  I have blessings beyond what you have ever imagined, and they are waiting for you.  Look beyond the distractions around you and seek My face.  I have what you need; you don’t need to look anywhere else.  Look to Me.  Come to Me.  I’m right here.  I love you more than your mind can conceive.  I care about every single detail concerning you.  I am right here.  Trust Me, daughter.  I’m here.”

Sisters, I am in tears right now, knowing that God is ready to bless His daughters.  Please receive what the Father is saying directly to you right now.  He sees.  He knows.  He understands.  He cares.  And He’s Almighty God.

For God has said, “I will never fail you. I will never abandon you.”  (Hebrews 13:5b NLT)

Be Grateful for What Is

Sisters, why do we allow ourselves to find comfort in dysfunction?  As I was having a conversation recently, it occurred to me that we spend an awful lot of time thinking about how things used to be, longing for those things and people who were not good to or for us.  We sometimes decide that although a situation (or job or relationship—you get the picture) is less than desirable, at least we know how to function in it; we know how to navigate through that chaos.

Let me say this right now—you were not designed to just exist in dysfunction.  You were designed to thrive as you walk into your destiny.  Sisters, it’s time to take that leap and walk into freedom.  You can choose to stop longing for what was and flourish in what is while you manifest what will be!

We are not so different from the children of Israel.  In Numbers 11:4-6 (NKJV), they had gotten tired of the manna God had provided and found themselves longing for what they ate while they were in Egypt.  Mind you, they were enslaved in Egypt, but here they were longing to be back with their oppressors.

Now the mixed multitude who were among them yielded to intense craving; so the children of Israel also wept again and said: “Who will give us meat to eat?  We remember the fish which we ate freely in Egypt, the cucumbers, the melons, the leeks, the onions, and the garlic; but now our whole being is dried up; there is nothing at all except this manna before our eyes!”

Do You Recognize the Manna?

In Exodus 16, God provided manna for the children of Israel as they journeyed through the wilderness. We’ve heard the story before: they began to complain against Moses and Aaron because they were hungry. They asked, “Why would you bring us out here to die? At least we had meat and bread in Egypt. We’re worse off now than where we were before.” Be careful longing for the past when God has delivered you and instructed you to move forward to your destiny. Don’t let the trap of comfort keep you from your promise of destiny.

You ever notice how your temperament changes when you are hungry? There’s even a goofy word for it now: hangry. We get cranky and mean sometimes, just because we need something to eat. When we are hungry, we become motivated to act. Think about that for a moment. Hunger drives us to act. Be aware of what drives your hunger, and I’m not just talking about in the physical sense, because it influences how you will act.

And what are you truly hungry for? (Because thatleads you to do something about it.) Matthew 5:6 says, “Blessed are they which do hunger and thirst after righteousness: for they shall be filled.” I’ll ask again, what are you hungry for? For some, it may be material gain. For others, it may be a closer relationship with family. Still others, it may be promotion on the job. Some hunger for power. And some simply want to be closer to God. You may even seek a combination of these. But remember, Matthew 6:33 says, “But seek first the kingdom of God and His righteousness, and all these things shall be added to you.”
