Creative, Able, and Committed

This is a conditional promise.  You have to do your part to receive it.  If you commit your works to God, then your thoughts will be established.  Why are your thoughts so important?  Proverbs 23:7 says, “As a man thinketh in his heart, so is he.”  You are what you think, so it’s important that you are thinking the right thoughts.

And then there’s commitment.  Some people say they have commitment issues.  They don’t want to settle down.  That issue actually reveals their character.  James 1:8 says that a double-minded man is unstable in all his ways.  You can’t accomplish much when you are unstable.

Have you ever had a moment when you couldn’t focus because your thoughts were being bombarded?  I’m not talking about that flow of creativity that artists feel; I mean when there is so much going on around you that you have no peace.  It’s a state of feeling so overwhelmed that you can barely function.  When you arrive at that place:

Stop.  Breathe.  Give your all to God.

When you dedicate your all to God, He moves into action to establish your thoughts.
