“My will I give to You.” How many of us daily give our will to the Lord, sacrificing our will every single day and actively seeking the Lord’s will for that day? There is an intentional choice that has to be made daily in order for us to even recognize what Jesus is saying to us. And then we have to really hand it over to God. Are you willing to cast your cares on the Lord today? (1 Peter 5:7)
“I’ll do what You say do.” Can you be still long enough to hear from God or are you constantly on the move? The world calls you a boss and a go-getter, fooling you into thinking you have to stay busy in order to achieve success in your life. You might even receive recognition for the amount of work you can do well in a short period of time. But what have you done for the Kingdom of God today? And while you were out “making things happen,” did you spend any time with God? Have you tuned in to what the Holy Spirit is whispering today? Have you demonstrated the love of God to anyone, or are you just busy?
God wants to spend time with you. He wants your full attention so He can pour Himself into you. Are you willing to bask in His glory today? Are you available to Him?
