Don’t Forget

The Manna Chef

How many times has the Lord come through for you?  If you really begin to think about that in sincerity, that list will go on and on.  Today, I encourage you to focus on God’s faithfulness to you—even when you may have struggled to be faithful to Him.  God always comes through for His children—not sometimes, always! 

Sisters, I am well aware that sometimes life throws you a curve ball that may catch you by surprise, but God is never caught off guard.  He knows what you need before you even need it.  Isn’t that amazing?  Think about those times when you didn’t exactly know how a need would be met, and then God showed up right on time.  I recently experienced His supernatural move!  God told me that He was taking care of every detail in a matter, and He most certainly did—in grand fashion too!  It left me asking, “Who wouldn’t serve a God like this?” 

When I was younger, my mother used to sing “Jesus, I’ll Never Forget” during testimony service.  (She loved that song!)

Jesus, I’ll never forget what You’ve done for me.  Jesus, I’ll never forget how You set me free.  Jesus, I’ll never forget how You brought me out.  Jesus, I’ll never forget, no, never…

This Time, You Might Have to Get Your Feet Wet

God is calling us to newer heights.  He is calling us to the unfamiliar and to uncharted territory.  This time, where you are headed may not look like what you have been used to, and it’s by design.  To go where you’ve never been you have to do what you’ve never done. 

Before God delivered the children out of Egypt, we know they became fearful and they grumbled.  But God was still faithful, and He moved in supernatural fashion for them. 

Exodus 14:13-16

13 And Moses said to the people, “Do not be afraid. Stand still, and see the salvation of the Lord, which He will accomplish for you today. For the Egyptians whom you see today, you shall see again no more forever. 14 The Lord will fight for you, and you shall hold your peace.”

15 And the Lord said to Moses, “Why do you cry to Me? Tell the children of Israel to go forward. 16 But lift up your rod, and stretch out your hand over the sea and divide it. And the children of Israel shall go on dry ground through the midst of the sea.

Fill Me Up, Lord

Have you ever had one of those days when you feel like you simply have nothing else to give?  We get pulled in so many directions sometimes; it can be hard to just catch your breath, let alone function at a high level on a daily basis.  And the demands of everyday life never seem to stop, just a constant pull on you spiritually and naturally.  You ever just get tired of being tired?  I have definitely been there.  It’s in these moments that we have to really press to get into the Presence of the Lord.  He promised to renew us, but sometimes we get so caught up in the chaos that we forget that and try to operate under our own strength.  Well, guess what ladies?  That gets old really fast.  In our own strength, we are extremely limited. 

God recently reminded me that it’s in my weakest moments that His strength is made perfect.  (2 Corinthians 12:9)  He reminds us, “My grace is sufficient for you.”  In other words, you have enough and you are enough because I am in control.  It’s in those moments that we rely totally on Him, not our own strength, experiences, or knowledge.  And it’s those times that we have no choice but to turn to God.  And He doesn’t disappoint; God shows up and He shows out.  Well, now God is teaching me how to rely on Him for everything—even those things I think that I have a good handle on.  You know, the day goes a lot smoother when you consult God at the start of the day instead of waiting until a crisis to talk to Him.

God can fulfill our needs in ways we can’t begin to imagine.  There are many examples of God’s ability to move us beyond our own abilities and resources, but the Holy Spirit led me to this one to share.  It’s an example of God’s supernatural provision.
