God Will Provide

Lately, I have been approached by many sisters who are in a season of intense struggle—the mountains they are facing seem insurmountable.  I immediately went to the Father to seek His perspective on what I’d heard, and I asked for words of encouragement and instruction for my sisters.  A few of them shared that they feel as if they are just being tossed around in a storm.  I had to sit with that for a moment because I know that feeling—the one where so much is going on but you can’t seem to get a handle on anything.  You wonder, “Do I have enough?  Am I enough?  What am I supposed to do now?  How will this need be met?”  Have you ever asked the Lord any of these questions?  I have talked to so many sisters who are in dire need of the Lord to move on their behalf right now.

As I was reading last night, God pointed out this Scripture to me:  So they all ate and were filled. (Mark 6:42 NKJV)  I read it over and over and waited for the Lord to speak.  “Tell them, ‘I have heard your cry.  I have much more than enough to meet all of your needs.'”   Sisters, God has the capacity to take care of all of us.  Don’t lose hope because you have been waiting for so long for God to move.  (And know that there is no need to become envious when it doesn’t seem like it’s your turn yet.)

And Jesus, when He came out, saw a great multitude and was moved with compassion for them, because they were like sheep not having a shepherd.  So He began to teach them many things.   When the day was now far spent, His disciples came to Him and said, “This is a deserted place, and already the hour is late.  Send them away, that they may go into the surrounding country and villages and buy themselves bread; for they have nothing to eat.”

But He answered and said to them, “You give them something to eat.”

And they said to Him, “Shall we go and buy two hundred denarii worth of bread and give them something to eat?”

But He said to them, “How many loaves do you have? Go and see.”

And when they found out they said, “Five, and two fish.”  (Mark 6:34-38 NKJV)

What’s in Your Hand?

Have you ever had that moment when you wonder if you’ve “missed it”?  Be honest with yourself.  (And admitting it doesn’t mean you lack faith, by the way.)  Whether it’s a dream that seems too far away, a career opportunity, a relationship with someone special, a business endeavor—that “something” that seems like it’s out of your reach now?  We have a list of excuses too:

  • If I was younger or older…
  • If I had more money…
  • If I was married or still single…
  • If I had another degree…
  • If I had just done this or that…

Well, I’m here to remind you that it’s not too late!  You woke up this morning, so there is yet time to accomplish that which God has placed on the inside of you.  He gave you that dream for a reason, so ask Him to show you how to implement the plans to produce results.  He has strategies that would never occur to you, so why not just ask Him?
