From My Heart to Yours

I want you do to something for me.  Think about those conversations that you’ve had with the Lord when He just whispers in your spirit about the plans He has for you.  You know, those dreams that have been inside you for as long as you can remember.  What have you been dreaming about lately, or have you gotten so distracted with life that you’ve stopped dreaming?  God has placed some amazing things inside of you, and I really want you to allow Him to show you the real you, the one He formed with His own hands (the vessel He breathed life into).  Do you see her?

God has placed gifts, talents, and abilities in you to bring Him glory.  I’m not going to talk about the parable of the talents.  (That one is for another day.)  Instead, I want to bring your attention to Philippians 2:13.  It says, “for it is God who works in you both to will and to do for His good pleasure.”  He wants us to thrive, and it is for His good pleasure.  Sisters, you bring our Father joy!  He has so much love for you that it cannot be contained.  He delights in you.  Do you really know that?  Our Father delights in us.  And guess what?  Those gifts that you carry on the inside give glory to God and encourage others to develop their gifts for His Kingdom.

What Do You See?

The Bible is full of the promises of God.  It’s a love story; the evidence of just how much God loves us.  Think about the many times God has delivered you, made a way, healed your body, provided for you—He has manifested His greatness on your behalf time and time again.  So, what happens when you’ve prayed to God, but there is a delay in the manifestation of the answer, the promise?  Think about the promises that God has made to you.  Actually write a few down on paper.  (I really do want you to write them down.)  I have two questions for you.

  1. Can you see them, spiritually?
  2. Have you really claimed them?

We’ve heard many times the account of the children of Israel as God delivered them from the hand of the Egyptians.  If not, we’ve at least seen “The Ten Commandments” or the “Prince of Egypt.”  God chose Moses to lead His people out of Egypt.  And God moved in dramatic fashion on behalf of His people.  Can you imagine crossing the Red Sea on dry ground?

But here’s the thing; God wasn’t just taking them from Egypt.  He was leading them to Canaan.  Sometimes we’re so happy to get out of a situation that we stop before we even reach the purpose of being delivered.  God hasn’t delivered you so that you can stop moving forward in your spiritual walk with Him.  God promised the Israelites that they would enter the Promised Land, a land of milk and honey.  You have a Promised Land too.  Think about that for a moment.  Your Promised Land is the destiny for which you were created to fulfill.  There is a place of manifestation of the promises of God for your life.  Can you see it?

Lord, You Want Me To Do THAT?

Have you ever experienced a time when the Spirit of God instructed you to do something that you felt was way beyond your capabilities?  If so, you (and I) have a lot in common with a guy named Moses.

God knows who you are.  He knows what you carry on the inside.  His request is no coincidence; it is by design because you can only accomplish supernatural results with His help.  (“Not by might nor by power, but by My Spirit,” says the Lord of hosts.  Zechariah 4:6)

In Exodus 3, Moses encountered the burning bush; he was being called to duty by the Most High God.  Moses responded just like we do: “Who am I that I should go before pharaoh, and bring them out?  God, do You really know who I am?”

Immediately vs. Eventually

It is important for the children of God to learn to move when God instructs us to do so.   Our blessings are awaiting our arrival!

(2 Kings 5:1-13)

There was a commander of the army of the king of Aram, and his name was Naaman.  He was a great man, highly regarded because he had been victorious in battle.  He was a brave soldier, but he had leprosy.

  • Even when others perceive us to be great, we are flawed individuals who are dependent on the One true and living God.

There was a young girl who’d been taken captive from Israel, and she served Naaman’s wife.  One day she said to Naaman’s wife, “If only he would go to see the prophet in Samaria, he would be cured.”

  • God places people strategically in our paths to lead us to where we need to be.  It’s important to be obedient to the Spirit of God and to treat others with respect.  You may be carrying the key to someone’s deliverance in your mouth (and they may be carrying yours).

Naaman told the king what the young girl had said and the king told him to go.  He said, “I will send a letter with you to the king of Israel.”
