Don’t Wait, Part One: Grasshopper Thinking

The people had become disillusioned by the bad report and were ready to turn away from what God had already given to them.  Moses and Aaron fell on their faces before the people.  Joshua and Caleb tore their clothing.  Come on y’all, this land is ours!  They tried to encourage everyone.  “Look, the land is wonderful, and if God is pleased with us, He’ll give us the land.  It’s that simple.  This land is rich with milk and honey.  Don’t rebel against God.  Don’t be afraid of the people on our land.  They are helpless since God is on our side.  Don’t be afraid!”

Did you get that?  Don’t be afraid of the people on our land.  They didn’t say “on the land we want” or “the land that we wish we could have.”  They said “our land.”  Sisters, claim your land!  I don’t care what obstacle is in front of you.  If God said it’s yours, then it’s yours.  Claim your land.  Claim your promises.  If He promised it to you, then you are well able to overcome any challenge.  Don’t let the grasshoppers around you discourage you.  Keep your focus on the Lord and His word to you. That Promised Land is already yours.  The real question is, “Do you believe that?”

Don’t allow the grasshopper mentality to steer you away from manifesting your promises from God. Those giants are no match for our God!
