It’s interesting to me that all twelve spies saw the same land and the same giants, but they had two totally different perspectives. Caleb and Joshua saw possibilities and fulfillment, but the other ten only saw problems. They called themselves grasshoppers. They chose small thinking. If you don’t believe in your own potential, why should anyone else?
Sisters, don’t allow small thinking to cause you to miss out on what God has promised to you. And be careful about whose report you are seeking in the first place. Believe it or not, not everybody is rooting for you to reach your promised land. Use wisdom, Sisters, and keep your eyes on Jesus.
Well, guess which report the people chose to believe? Let me give you a hint: it wasn’t Caleb’s. They chose fear over the promise of God. Think about that for a moment. How many times have you been motivated from a place of fear, and you chose to retreat instead of obtain your blessing from God? The people even wanted to select a new leader and return to Egypt—instead of entering the land promised to them! Their land was right in front of them, and they were ready to just walk away. Have you ever been there?
