“Who Did It?”

Sisters, I want to remind you that His purpose for your life will prevail, so focus on His plan and purpose instead of trying to live up to other people’s impossible expectations.  Who does God say you are?  What has He told you to do?  Imagine if your focus was just on these two questions.  Your entire life would change!

Many years ago, I shifted from writing New Year resolutions to writing a “Gratitude List.”  I literally write down everything I can think of that God has done for me throughout the entire year.  (Yes, I really do list every single thing I can think of.)  Each year, the list is extensive, and it is a wonderful reminder of how much God really does take care of me, down to the smallest detail.  He leaves nothing to chance.  So, instead of looking back in distress and discouragement, I look back filled with wonder at just how much God has accomplished in my life.  I begin the next year with excitement, as I look forward to the adventures that God and I will experience and accomplish together.  My expectation is in Him, not in any circumstances that may be going on around me.  I know God has great things in store because He proves it every year!

Sisters, instead of wearing yourself out trying to plan what you will accomplish next year, take some time to appreciate all that God has done for you while you are still experiencing this year.  And He is not finished because the year is not over.  So, when He blesses you in the coming days, be sure to exclaim:

“Who did it?  God did it!”
