Ephesians 6:15 reminds us to cover our feet with the preparation of the gospel of peace. Peace is designed to cover us and guide our steps. You don’t need to protect peace. Jesus Himself is the Prince of Peace. You need access to His peace, and it goes beyond your own strength. It will require faith and trust to believe whatever God has promised to you. And know this Sisters, it probably will look nothing like your current circumstances. That is by design. Peace will lead you into the arms of Jesus Christ. Rest for your soul is found in the peace of God. Pursue peace and allow it to protect your mind and your heart.
And the next time you hear a Sister say that she needs to protect her peace, encourage her to pursue peace and simply seek God for direction. She doesn’t have to put on her battle gear to protect peace. Remind her (and yourself) that peace is protection.
