You all know that I do not create a New Year’s resolution list—why set the stage for me to place unrealistic expectations (no matter how well-meaning) instead of moving according to the Spirit of God each day in the new year? So, I encourage you to take some time to reflect on the goodness of God throughout this past year. And maybe your year was full of lament, too, but guess what? If you look closely enough, there were sprinkles of God’s goodness in the midst of it all.
I will give thanks to the Lord with my whole heart; I will recount all of your wonderful deeds. (Psalm 9:1 ESV)
