Stop Looking!

Let me be transparent right now.  Recently, the Holy Spirit had to remind me of just who I am in Him.  Life was hitting me hard, really hard, and I can admit that for a moment, I almost forgot that I actually have authority in the name of Jesus.  The Holy Spirit reminded me that the Resurrection power of Jesus Christ actually translates to my everyday life.  That’s why I can speak the Word to my wallet (a lesson I learned from my grandmother) and watch God increase my finances.  I’ve learned speak life to my body, declare healing, and get up and move.  I can say, “I forgive you,” and actually mean it.  I can walk into a hostile room and take authority over those who mean evil against me.  I may not be able to change certain circumstances that come my way, but I do have the authority to speak peace over those same situations.  That Resurrection power can make a difference each day in our lives when we learn how to use our authority!

Earlier, I mentioned several areas (graves) and, of course, there are many others.  I call them graves because if we are not careful, they can bury us, spiritually and emotionally, before we even realize it.  Sister, quit beating yourself up over mistakes you made twenty years ago (or yesterday).  Did you ask God for forgiveness?  Did you try to rectify the situation or apologize to whomever you harmed?  Did you learn something from the experience?  Well, then it’s time to forgive yourself and move on!  Do the actual work of repentance and let go of the guilt and shame.
