Now THAT’S Faith!

Jesus didn’t actually tell Mary that He was going to do anything; she just believed that He would.  God has made a host of promises to us; when will we just believe?  Did you notice that Mary went on her way without wondering if Jesus would act?  She didn’t waver.  She went back to the party.  Mary was so confident that Jesus would do something, that when she told the others to follow His lead, they did it without questioning her.  She knew her Son.  She knew His character.

It actually sounds like something my mom used to do whenever she had the opportunity: volunteer me for a particular task, usually singing.  My mom believed in me (in all four of us), and she told the whole world about her confidence in the ability of her children.  *giggling in tears as I type this, remembering her passing around my report card at church when I was a little girl*

Sisters, are you confident that Jesus can move on your behalf?  Hasn’t He done it time and time again?  Well, tell somebody about His goodness.  Psalm 107:2 tells us, “Let the redeemed of the Lord say so.”  Open your mouth, Sisters!  You have influence beyond what some of you will ever know!  Use that influence to point others right to Jesus Christ, so He can move on their behalf, too.

What has God promised you?  How many times has He already come through for you?  Believe Him, and go on about your day.  No more sleepless nights.  No more moments of panic or drowning in doubt.  Trust in the Lord your God!

And for those of you waiting on God to move, I offer you this:

Do whatever He tells you!
