Philippians 4:8 (ESV) says, “whatever is true, whatever is honorable, whatever is just, whatever is pure, whatever is lovely, whatever is commendable, if there is any excellence, if there is anything worthy of praise, think about these things.”
So today, I want to challenge you to do something a little different. Let’s saturate our minds with the goodness of the Lord. Let’s flood our thoughts with positive energy and allow the Holy Spirit to renew our minds. Today, every time a negative thought comes to your mind, I want you to think of three positive things at that very moment. Write them down or say them out loud every time you think of something contrary to Philippians 4:8. (You can do it!)
Let me give you some examples:
Kids driving you crazy?
- Lord, thank You for trusting me to take care of Your children.
- Yes, they are a little noisy today, but God look how gifted and creative they are.
- Lord, thank You for blessing me with children who will one day change the world for the better.
