When you get to that place, sit still and allow the Holy Spirit to soothe you. Whew! I’m recalling that particular day right now. If it wasn’t for the Holy Spirit, I would not have been able to function; I was fully aware of that. But in the midst of pain and downright weariness, I found my way to the place of gratitude, just thanking God for the breath in my body and my willingness to ask Him to rescue me.
I began to reflect on the senior saints of my childhood, who used to stand up during testimony service and say, “I thank God for keeping me in my right mind.” When I was a child, that used to sound so funny to me. “What’s your right mind? Do you have more than one mind?” I used to wonder. But after completing almost five decades on this earth, I have learned that they knew what they were talking about! Thank God for keeping me in my right mind through some of the lowest moments I have ever encountered. Sisters, God truly is a Keeper!
Know that He really can work it out! Romans 8:28 (NKJV) reminds us that “all things work together for good to those who love God, to those who are the called according to His purpose.” Align your will to His and watch God work things out to benefit your life. He’s got you, Sisters. Let Him work it out for you!
