A few hours later, I was notified that my colleagues and I were receiving a financial bonus “for no particular reason.” I smiled. I knew the reason. My Father had already told me that He was figuring things out for me. And everyone around me reaped the benefits of that promise. They were benefactors of a promise that God had made to me. I’ll let you meditate on that for just a moment. You can reap the blessings of obedience when you are connected to the right people, Sisters. (The opposite is also true. Jonah’s experience on the boat is a glaring example in Jonah 1.)
And let me say this now: Sisters, when God blesses you, He does so completely. That blessing is not meant to be a burden to you. When you start to feel overloaded, ask Him for guidance. You are probably carrying things that you were not meant to carry. Trust the Lord and follow His lead.
Psalm 37:23 (NLT) says, “The Lord directs the steps of the godly. He delights in every detail of their lives.” God delights in the details of your life. He has not forgotten about your heart’s desire. He isn’t ignoring your voice or the petitions that you’ve laid before Him. He is working out the details, and trust me, Sisters, He really does know what is best for you. All you need to do is trust Him and do what He says to do. (Yes, what is manifested is tied to your obedience.) He will direct your steps, so you don’t even have to figure out where to go next. Just ask Him. (And yes, it really is that simple!) Ask Him and move by His spirit. He has already worked out the details, so you can rest, pray, listen, and believe.
That is your assignment for today:
Rest.
Pray.
Listen.
Believe.
