Choose Your Words Carefully (Watch Your Mouth!)

Well, Miriam and Aaron wanted attention from God, and they got it!  God called to Moses, Aaron, and Miriam to go out to the Tabernacle, and He descended in a pillar of cloud and stood at the entrance.  He called Aaron and Miriam, and as they stepped forward, the Lord said:

“Hear now My words:  If there is a prophet among you, I, the Lord, make Myself known to him in a vision; I speak to him in a dream. Not so with My servant Moses; He is faithful in all My house.  I speak with him face to face, even plainly, and not in dark sayings; And he sees the form of the Lord.  Why then were you not afraid to speak against My servant Moses?”  (Numbers 12:6-8 NKJV)

Whew! That is deep!  They had forgotten who they were talking about and who Moses was to God! Miriam and Aaron wanted to know what made Moses so different and God told them.  (Help us all, God, when we choose to give our opinions as to how others should act.)  God became angry at them.  I don’t know about you, but I pray daily for God to be pleased with my words and actions and to correct me (and forgive me) when I’m wrong.
