Anyone who knows me well knows that I have a Bible verse that is the very theme of my life. It’s found in Jeremiah 1:5 (KJV).
Before I formed thee in the belly I knew thee; and before thou camest forth out of the womb I sanctified thee, and I ordained thee a prophet unto the nations.
God knew me before I was even in my mother’s womb. He had already chosen to be the Manna Chef and to accomplish everything He’s equipped me to do in my spiritual journey. He handpicked me. He chose me. I wasn’t some haphazard thought; He created me. Now, let me be real here. Sometimes the thought can be overwhelming because I know that being chosen carries a great deal of responsibility.
In Luke 12:48 (NLT), the Bible says, “When someone has been given much, much will be required in return; and when someone has been entrusted with much, even more will be required.”
Being chosen comes with accountability. God requires more from His chosen, and He trusts us. That alone can be overwhelming. But it also comes with blessings beyond measure. And in those moments when we deal with uncertainty, we can go to our Father and simply ask for clarity. Think about it; if He chose and equipped us, then He knows how to direct our steps to a successful outcome. We may not have it all figured out, but God does.
Today, I want you to really meditate on the fact that God handpicked you. Yes, you! He carefully selected you for His good pleasure. He chose you to be a blessing to His people and to carry out His plan. Embrace it, Sisters! You have been handpicked by the Most High God.
