Will You Rejoice?

Why should we choose to rejoice and be glad?  To rejoice is to feel joy, to exult, triumph, and delight.  It also means to give glory.  I choose to praise God daily, even when things don’t seem ideal.  You can be triumphant in your battles just by how you respond to them.  Choose joy!  The Bible reminds us in Nehemiah 8:10 that the joy of the Lord is our strength.  Choosing joy provides strength.  You ever notice that when you are joyful, you feel energized, motivated, and inspired.  You have the energy you need to get the job done.  But when you are depressed, it’s hard to get out of the bed.  You are lethargic, and you don’t feel like doing anything.  And if you’re not careful, you can get stuck in that state, paralyzed and immobile.  If you’re there now, you can choose to move beyond it.  It’s up to you to choose to rejoice, and ask for help if you need it. The Holy Spirit is there with you.

Laugh more and worry less.  Smile more.  Sisters, it’s okay to lighten up!

Choose to be glad and live in the moment.  “I will rejoice and be glad in it.”  You are in this day—moving, breathing, and living.  Learn to celebrate the moments that happen throughout the day.  Some of you might ask, “Why should we celebrate?  The bills are piling up.  The world is in chaos. The kids aren’t acting right.  I’m having trouble on my job.  I don’t have a new car or a new house.  Why should I be glad?”
