We don’t need to worry about the tomorrows and the challenges they bring. Jesus addressed this in Matthew 6:33. He gives us the formula to live by. He then tells us in verse 34 to stop worrying about tomorrow.
But seek first the kingdom of God and His righteousness, and all these things shall be added to you. Therefore do not worry about tomorrow, for tomorrow will worry about its own things. Sufficient for the day is its own trouble.
We live in a time of multitasking, but it has its downfalls. Multitasking has you focused on completing several tasks instead of enjoying the process that is happening along the way.
Focus on today. Be determined to rejoice regardless of what’s going on. Philippians 4:11 says, “Not that I speak in respect of want, but I have learned in whatever state I am, to be content.” You can choose to rejoice or you can choose to be down and out. It really is up to you. Circumstances do not dictate your joy, you do. You have the power to choose to rise above your circumstances and still have joy. No one can put you in a bad mood. You choose how you respond to frustrating moments. You can choose to be upset for a moment or you can choose to be upset all day. The choice is yours to make.
