We are living in a world where so many people are hurting. We need the love of Christ more than ever! Unfortunately, some people, even those in leadership, are only interested in being served; they have no real interest in serving anyone else. With selfish motives in place, they miss out on the blessings of God and the real focus of leadership: serving others. How can you lead if you cannot serve? It’s not about you. It’s not about the personal accolades you may have received. It’s not about how great you think you are or an opportunity to pat yourself on the back. This is about doing our Father’s business and doing His will His way.
Sister, Jesus loves you, and He is calling you to serve your families, your churches, and your communities. You are carrying something inside you that someone else desperately needs, especially now. It may be a prayer or a kind word. It may be advice. It may even be groceries. We can’t hug each other right now during this pandemic, but there are many ways to show that you care. How can you best serve others in this season?
In Matthew 25:35-36, Jesus said, “For I was hungry and you gave Me food; I was thirsty and you gave Me drink; I was a stranger and you took Me in; I was naked and you clothed Me; I was sick and you visited Me; I was in prison and you came to Me.” Jesus left us with incredible examples of how to serve those who are in need. So, Sister, whose feet do you need to wash?
