When you are feeling insignificant and you aren’t sure if you really matter, remember that you are “a chosen generation, a royal priesthood, a holy nation, His own special people, that you may proclaim the praises of Him who called you out of darkness into His marvelous light.” (1 Peter 2:9)
This pandemic may have you feeling uncertain and fearful. When you have those moments, decree, “I shall not die, but live, and declare the works of the Lord.” (Psalm 118:17)
When you look around and see that folks are losing their jobs left and right or are being furloughed, many are having trouble receiving unemployment benefits, and others are just in a state of distress, you may have to pray over your own mind, bringing every thought into captivity to the obedience of Christ (2 Corinthians 10:5b).
The enemy may try to cause you to panic, telling you that the people of God will have to struggle. God is still taking care of His people; don’t allow the enemy to tell you otherwise. Just today, I was thinking about a financial hurdle and, I’ll admit, for a moment, I was quite concerned about it. It seemed like a huge mountain, and then I heard, “Who told you that?” God reminded me at that very moment a promise in Philippians 4:19, “And my God shall supply all your need according to His riches in glory by Christ Jesus.” I felt the peace of God surround me, and I was filled with joy and excitement because I know that God is moving on my behalf.
