Think about it. We were created in the image and the likeness of God. Genesis 1:26 (NLT) reminds us, “Then God said, ‘Let us make human beings in our image, to be like us.’” So, we were created to speak under the authority of the Most High God and fully expect results.
Look back at Genesis again. You’ll see that many verses begin with “And God said” and then whatever He said was manifested. How many of you believe that you have that kind of power? Well, Sisters, if you are living the life that God has called you to live the way He called you to live it, then you most certainly do. Now you have to seek God so that you can learn how to use your words.
If you wake up and say, “It’s going to be a bad day,” then it probably will be a bad day. You decided that even before you got out of the bed. Why start the day that way? On my way to work, I sometimes sing a song that I used to hear when I was a little girl, “Today is gonna be a wonderful day, for God has washed all my sins away…” It makes me smile every time I sing it. Even on those day when I wake up and feel like I’m dragging, I sing it and somehow I really do believe that I am going to have a great day. You see, I have learned that I have the ability to set the atmosphere to actually create that great day.
