Isaiah 26:3 says, “You will keep him in perfect peace, Whose mind is stayed on You, Because he trusts in You.” God said He would provide perfect peace! What a beautiful promise! I began to say out loud, “Yes, Lord, please give me that peace!” (As a matter of fact, I’m claiming perfect peace right now.) And the Lord didn’t say that I had to be perfect to get it. (Thank God for that!) You see, I do trust Him, and He stays on my mind. So, in the midst of that confusion, I claimed perfect peace because He gave me the authority to do so.
And you know what? I began to feel better right then. The headache left. The tears dried up. I could feel myself wrapped in the sweetest hug from God Himself. My concern didn’t leave, but the stress around it did. As I said, I trust that God knows what is going on even when I don’t have the slightest idea. And I also trust Him to take care of the situations around me. I know He has the solution to every problem I will ever face.
My lesson for that day was to simply pray and release and God would take care of the rest. Just pray and release, and He’d give me perfect peace. I encourage you to give that a try today.
