Faith-driven or Fear-driven?

All things are possible if we just believe, which then leads me to one word:  faith.  When I hear the word faith, the first Scripture that comes to mind is Hebrews 11:1, but today I am going to share another passage with you.  It may be familiar, but I’d like you to take a closer look today.  In Matthew 9:27, two blind men were following Jesus, and they cried out:

Son of David, have mercy on us!28And when He had come into the house, the blind men came to Him. And Jesus said to them, “Do you believe that I am able to do this?” They said to Him, “Yes, Lord.” 29Then He touched their eyes, saying, “According to your faith let it be to you.”

Read verse 29 again.  Sisters, that is God’s word to you today:  according to your faith let it be to you.  Do you really believe that God is Who He says He is and that He will do what He said He will do?  Do you trust Him to move in your life?  Your marriage?  Your family?  Your job?  Your school?  Your church?  Your finances?  Your ministry?  (You get the idea.)  According to your faith let it be to you.  (You should post that in your home!)

And then I have to ask, “Where is your faith?”  Your faith must be in God (Mark 11:23), not in people, your bank account, or even your degrees on the wall.  If your faith is in God and you couple that with your obedience to God, you really can do all things through Christ Who strengthens you (Philippians 4:13).

Fear doesn’t have to be the driving force in your life.  You don’t have to be consumed by “what-ifs.”  There’s no need to have sleepless nights, worrying about what tomorrow will bring.  I’d rather be faith-driven, excitedly awaiting God’s instruction to see what we are going to accomplish next and seeking God’s Presence as I enter the next level.  But, hey, that’s me.  You can be fear-driven or faith-driven.  Which do you choose?
