He also said to tell His daughters, “I see them, and I hear them.”
I’m going to be really honest with you right now. Sometimes I have wondered, “God, do You really see me right now? Are you truly aware of how I feel? Do you even care?” I know that may surprise some “super saints,” but clearly, I’m not one of those. I have felt like I was all alone in the wilderness. Some of my most serious spiritual tantrums (because that’s what they amount to) have been the result of me feeling like I haven’t been seen. And then I hear God say, “I see you.” That alone quiets my spirit, because I know who I am to God. I know that He is going to take care of me. I know He ultimately has the last say in whatever is going on, and I trust that He knows what’s best for me (even when I don’t sometimes).
In Isaiah 38:5a, God said, “Go and tell Hezekiah, ‘Thus says the Lord, the God of David your father: I have heard your prayer, I have seen your tears.'” Sisters, you are not alone! God sees you right where you are. He has heard your prayers. Do you trust that He will take care of you today?
