The body of Christ is experiencing a changing of the guard. It’s time for us to step up and step out. And there will be times when it won’t look different, but it is, and God is requiring us to step out of the box. Dream again. Laugh more. Be authentic. Chill out. And step outside of your comfort zone.
It’s no coincidence that the people were being led by the priests carrying the ark of the covenant. The Presence of God should always lead the way. If we are following His lead, we are always protected, we are headed in the right direction, and we will prevail in whatever situation we find on the other side.
The priests led them. The body of Christ needs some leaders who aren’t afraid of getting wet. We get distracted by people. What will they say or what will they think? But why miss the move of God because you are worried about what others will say or think? God is looking for people who will step outside the walls of the church. He is looking for authentic people. They love God but are real people who encounter real problems. You might have to get your Red Bottoms, your Jimmy Choo’s, your Jordan’s, your Michael Kors, whatever is on your feet (it might even be house slippers) wet. Some people aren’t able to step out for any number of reasons, but you have been equipped to do just that. Step out. The body of Christ is awaiting your arrival.
God took waters that were headed downstream and made them stand up. He will move anything to get His people where they need to be when they are obeying His Word. God is not bound by time, the laws of nature, a prognosis, your bank account, your resume, or even the challenges in your home. He will make them stand at attention while you cruise right on by. Everything is subject to the Most High God.
