We have to place our confidence in God and allow Him to move. And then we have to give Him the glory for it all. The people weren’t ready for that kind of faith. As a matter of fact, they wanted to stone Joshua and Caleb. People may not understand how you can just blindly believe God. But He’s not asking you to please people. You don’t have to justify to people why you trust God. You are here to do the will of Him Who has sent you. Your desire should be to please the Lord. God is moved by faith and obedience. Read His Word and believe it. Trust Him and stand on what He said for your life. Do you believe what God has promised you? Will you obey Him and possess your Promised Land?
God will not promise you something that He can’t deliver. If He said it, that’s all there is to it. Deuteronomy 7:9 says, “Therefore know that the Lord your God, He is God, the faithful God who keeps covenant and mercy for a thousand generations with those who love Him and keep His commandments.” God will not fail us. Where is your confidence, people of God? Yes, there were giants in the land. But God didn’t say, “Wait until the giants are gone,” or “Make sure you stay away from those giants.” God was well aware of who occupied the land. Look back at Exodus 3:8. God had already told them who was occupying the land. He knew the giants were there. And He still chose to give the Israelites the land. And the land really was full of milk and honey, just like God said. It was truly a place of abundance.
Look at what God has promised you. God is not swayed by giants in your office, at school, in your bank account, in your neighborhood, at your church, or even in your own home. If God said it, then it’s yours. Claim your land.
Psalm 23:5 says, “You prepare a table before me in the presence of my enemies.” Think about that for a second. Look at your Promised Land. What do you see, the promise or the giants?
