I mentioned it earlier, God never gets tired; He doesn’t need a moment to catch His breath. And He promised that waiting allows us time to have our strength renewed. They shall mount up… To mount is to rise or ascend. You can ascend above the circumstance when your connected to the Father. Eagles soar above storms. We were built to endure; to bounce back; and to keep moving forward. We were designed for movement, for progress, for growth. Trust God and follow His lead as you do the work that He has called you to complete.
The funny this is, we sometimes forget how big God really is. The disciples did too. In Luke 8:25 (Matthew 8:23-27), Jesus and the disciples were on a boat sailing on the lake. While Jesus was sound asleep, a storm arose. The waves were crashing and water was seeping into the boat. The disciples panicked and woke Him. After Jesus got up, He rebuked the wind and the raging waves and they ceased, and everything was calm. The disciples were blown away and asked themselves, “Who can this be? Even the winds and the seas obey Him!” They were with Jesus every day and still couldn’t grasp Who He was.
Think about it; He has held the oceans in His hands. He measured the heavens with His fingers. That’s the God we serve. And not only did He take the time to create all of the things we find on the earth, He took the time to create you and strategically place you in this day and time. God knows what He’s doing; we just need to trust Him and to move according to His Spirit and His Word. Whenever you feel like life is just wearing you out and you just cannot make it, read Isaiah 40:12-31. We need those reminders. It doesn’t matter how hard things are today. Deal with today, and trust God for a better tomorrow. Romans 8:28 already promised you that everything will work out for your good. Do you know Who you serve?
