We know that God always has been; He has no beginning because He is the beginning. He was there before time itself began. God is the only Being that is independent of the Creation—He created creation. The only limit to His freedom is in His nature and His attributes. For example, His attributes are known as the Fruit of the Spirit: love, joy, peace, longsuffering, kindness, goodness, faithfulness, gentleness, self-control. His character demonstrates those attributes every day. God is true to His word, and He cannot lie or fail. His Word is true and it will stand forever.
And because of His nature and His sovereignty, nothing can influence His opinion of us. God’s love really is unconditional, and we didn’t have to do anything to earn it. He knew who you were before you did, and He still chose you. God is not interested in how others define you or if they believe you are qualified. He chose you, flaws and all. He handpicked you for His use.
Do you even know Who you serve?
Isaiah 40:12 begins with a series of questions to which the only answer is God. It’s actually pretty similar to Job 38-41. God really is the answer. We have to know that. Ask God for guidance and help first; don’t wait and turn to Him as the last resort.
